So it is 10.2.1 now! A lot of new features, lods of new functionality and options, the phone reacts better and everything "flows" a LOT more better than with 10.1 (installed firmware when I bought my Q10).. BUT! Even with the latest OS I am still encountering the bbm texting delay issue! After writing some words (with some smiles also) I witness an annoying lag and that just happens on BBM! No problem on Whatsapp also with long messages and almost no problem on sms. The phone is amazing except for that How to fix that? P.s. My girlfriend's new Q5 behave the same (even if she's still on 10.2). Any help would be appreciated.

That's strange. I'm running Z10STL100-3/10.2.1.1925 and I have not seen any such thing.

There is no way to fix it? :-( Maybe there's some .bar file to sideload or something I can do about that. Loving BB, loving his keyboard and BBM. It would be a shame to stop using BBM for that!

What's app is faster than BBM..they need to improve it as much as possible, including Video calls for everyone because nobody is going to buy BBs anymore.

Probably you are right but that doesn't help me.. A dual core processor if for sure able to handle BBM texting! So what can I do?

Lists in groups don't show up for all members
Update bugs
Messages don't get delivered untill someone opens the app
This list goes on!

It's easy for me to get people to download the app but getting people to not delete it a week later is the hard part!

For what my experience is: bbm>whatsapp for everything. Speed, reliability, send file option, video and phone call, channels.. It is me who is experiencing that problem..

Have updated 4 Z10s and have no issues. I run BBM all the time and experienced no issue.
Can't speak for Whatsup but I deleted that app months ago. Major battery drain, randomly texts the wrong people and steals your contact information. It is beyond me why people want to use this App.

That's to bad. I have not really had a problem I have had a couple hang. But I find some times they do that when sending to non blackberry phones. Although was show my sister my z10 and sent her a BBM and it to maybe 1 second. I pushed send and before I could look up her phone beeped. She has an sg3. So I don't know it might sort itself out

I don't have that issue, however try emailing your conversations .to save it And then delete the conv.on the app see if that solves the issue, try thereafter not to leave long conversations there. In order to save them just email, the option is on the right sided menu that pops out when you touch the three dots at bottom of the app
