I did a quick compare and found results very interesting.
Virgin Atlantic FB page has 300k likes and it has 40k BBM Subs.

When i look at recent posts by Virgin Atlantic, FB Page as 50-300 likes but on BBM that number is 500-1000...Even though BBM Subs are so low compared to FB likes, customer engagement is extremely high on BBM.

I'm sure that a lot of people like me with a soft spot for BlackBerry are really clicking that thumbs up in support of BBM Channels and it's continued success. BlackBerry is hurting but it's brand loyalty amongst this last 1% is fierce.

In indonesia theres a popular website for tech called "Chip Indonesia"' its channel has 55, 000 subscribers and seems much more engaging. For instance their post about "Xiaomi smartphones" got only 2000 views on the website and zero comments or likes... on bbm it was likely seen by tens of thousands and got 37 comments and 56 likes. They are probbably hoping they can show ads soon on their bbm channel.
