Compared 6 mth ago, now BBM Channel getting popular, more and more companies and top brand started their own bbm channel. Buyt for us, users it is a bit difficult to look for bbm channel that interest us.
May be bbry can categorized it according to content/nature, just like bbm world.
If this can be done, it would be great!

If you have not joined/subscribed to any channels, it should not be draining any battery trying to fetch updates as it is. You can also chose to not receive updates from your BBM contacts if you want. That might help if you're experiencing drain specifically because of BBM.
