Ok so I looked at the different ways that BBM is set to make money (Stickers, BBM money etc) and it got me thinking about other potential ways it can make money, and something came to mind. One of the most successful online advertising models is the one that youtube uses. Youtube enables users who have a large audience to gain some advertising revenue. This has continued to attract more and more people to Youtube and because of this it continues to grow because people like the opportunity to gain an extra source of income. This may be able to work with BBM. Channels can feature sponsored posts within the channel and the channels can gain some of the advertising revenue based on their following. This can help BBM to grow significantly.

I know advertising is the last thing users want on BBM but we have to think about the health of the company. BB can follow its already stated approach of advertising not being intrusive and also advertising related to the specific channel where the advertisement is placed. These are my thoughts.

Let me know what you guys think.

I should get paid for this stuff lol but like the rest of the CB company, Im a blackberry employee with an annual salary of -600 (i bought a Z10 and a Q10)

I absolutely like your idea but again if bbm will be separated from BlackBerry then yes. I think that is the way it will go because of the ebbm will take over the current enterprise customers.

Anyhow in short I don't think that they have the infrastructure to expand that fast yet.

    ? Slicing using my ?

Absolutely agree. I've said it before, share revenue with Channel owners and the masses will come!!!!

Definitely. The problem is that people don't want to give BBM a chance. They are happy with the service Whatsapp provides so BBM has to attract people with more than their messaging services.
