    This is BS!

I suspect all the carriers did not order a lot of these RIM devices to begin with. Blackberry does not sell like it used to and has the iPhone 4 and future iPhone 5 along with Androids to stock too. These other phones are selling good.

The carriers make more money off a non BIS smart phone contracts as they do not have to share the funds with RIM.

Any official number of BB7 sales so far? hope that sales are doing good for RIM, at least in Europe.

Rimm never gives sales figures. They only announce how many they ship.

OS7 devices selling well? Remember back a few months when BGR reported that some analyst called up a bunch of Best Buys asking about playbook sales. He noted that they were poor, but RIM said they were fine.. Fool me once...

9900 was sold out in my SFR boutique (brick&mortar) of Boulogne Bilancourt in France.
They told me it was a 2 days flush.
But I had it on SFR web site. For now 9900 is still in stock on their site.

Means nothing until RIM officially outs sales numbers, like Apple announcing >1m iPhone 4S preorders within first 24 hours.

Who fooled you BGR or RIM... I don't think anyone is disputing the PlayBook sales have fallen short of what RIM expected. They aren't running $200 discounts because they are feeling generous.

They are still on back order on Rogers here in Canada.. Usually a new phone arrives in 24 hours after the order it placed.. The last two i ordered had a 10 day waiting period due to stock levels.

You stated this same sentiment 20 times. I counted. IPhone is doing extremely well. That's what *I* hear. All my esteemed colleagues agree. It is doing well well.

I think I would feel embarrassed if I were to show up at a business meeting with an Iphone.

Why? Plenty of successful, wealthy business people use iPhones (and other phones, for that matter). Adrienne Maloof, part owner in the Palms Casino in Vegas and the Sacramento Kings uses an iPhone and I guarantee she has more money than you'll ever have. She doesn't seem to care that she shows up to business meetings (and important ones at that) with her iPhone.

What does it matter? Because you have a BlackBerry you don't look like a CEO of a major corporation, sorry to disappoint you. If you care what other people think, then yes, you will be the only one embarrassed. I honestly don't think 90% of people care what type of phone you have.

My dad is a very successful vice president of a corporation and he rocks an old school flip phone. I don't think he's embarrassed during his business meetings with executives from Denmark. And whether he has a BlackBerry or not doesn't effect his salary or bonuses for that matter.

NASA employees use iPhones. But yeah, I've found those that actually have important or powerful jobs don't boost about it or what phone they use. They definitely don't make it their user name.

I certainly agree that your phone doesn't define you in business as long as you get the job done use what phone you like

I admit I do MORE business with Blackberry sales people than I do with non BlackBerry sales people because I can create groups and share information with many of them at once, it also separates out the conversation from the email chains which sometimes can run in the multiple 100's a day, so things get lost. BB contacts don't

but I am sure the day I walk into a meeting with more iPhones than BlackBerry's I wont be turning around and walking out.
