Can't find an app lock to lock individual apps anywhere in blackberry world....someone should have developed one by now

Honestly, I don't see the point of that. The phone locks. Any app that handles anything sensitive requires some kind of password or pin.

I don't lock my phone. I also hand my phone over to my children so they can play games and go online when we are at the store or in a long line up somewhere, have to keep them entertained!! In saying....... I would like to lock the photo folders/app, and possibly text and bbm. I occasionally receive the odd off colour joke or photo, and it would be nice to not have young peering eyes on any of it.

I asked about this in a thread here almost a year ago when BlackBerry 10 first came out. The answer to this is that BlackBerry 10 is built in such a way that the apps cannot interact with each other unless both developers allow for it. Different sandbox for different apps. That's why an app lock is not possible to make unless certain devs cooperate.

I have a similar situation as you. Try using Hide Files for BlackBerry 10. It's not exactly the same but you get to hide your private stuff and it works well.
