Are the BB10 Launch events going to be held simultaneously over the world?

I read somewhere that the launch will start in Dubai first then work its way finally to New York/ Toronto due to the time zones. If so wouldnt we already know everything about BB10 since it started in Dubai ? Because I will for sure be following the first one regardless of the time zone difference. I could be totally wrong so correct me if I am.
