I have a Curve 8320 on ATT, running 4.5.0.161. At random times (usually throughout the night) my curve will shut off, black screen, non responsive, but the LED light will be lit. I have BerryBuzz and it seems like the light is whatever color the last alert was. I've looked for any solutions on here and I have been able to find has stated battery, but I cleaned the contacts and it's always more than 50% life when this happens. Any thoughts?

Do you run lots of apps on your phone at the same time?

Or maybe you are unconciously. Usually when you're done using an app it's
best to fully close them. Just assuming that this might be the case.

Im pretty good about really closing everything I'm using. And I don't have too many apps, but I went ahead and removed a few to see if that was the case and it still happened to me twice since then.

How long have you had BerryBuzz installed?

Since 2 days after I got the phone which was in June. This problem just started within the last month. I haven't installed anything new since then besides themes, which I have uninstalled to check and make sure they weren't the problem.

It is quite possible that it's a hardware issue. If you bought the phone new it's under a one year warranty.

Are warranties voided in any way by installing 3rd party apps? I know when I had a Winmo phone ATT wouldn't replace it because I had 3rd party apps installed on it.

No they are not. You can just wipe the phone before you send it back anyway.

In my experience they aren't that picky. I sent my last Bold back to ATT for warranty and forgot to take the beta OS off it. Maybe I just got lucky? But they warrantied it.
