First of all I apologize if this post should appear in a specific forum...

I had a BB Curve (8310? can't remember which model) last year but was lured to the iPhone3. I've never been thrilled with with iP3 as it's soooo slow and awkward and moving from app to app is so cumbersome. I stupidly installed the newest OS and my iP3 is now barely functional it's so slow, freezes, etc.

I mainly use my phone for texting, email, talking (gasp), casual camera and Facebook. Once in a while I'll use it to look up directions or phone number to a business.

I'm an AT&T customer, however, 3G is not available in my immediate area. I do have wireless internet available at home.

I think I'm ready to come back to the BB and am considering the BB Curve 8900 and the BB Bold 9700 (I can get either for $99). Which model would you recommend for me?

    Thank you!

Without a doubt, hands down, the 9700. It beats the 8900 in all aspects.

Also, the 9700 will be getting the new operating system (OS 6) that will be released soon. The 8900 will not be getting it.

I upgraded from BB9220 to BB9700 in July. While I really liked the form-factor of the BB8220, the EDGE network was very slow. The BB9700 with 3G is not only faster but the form-factor is a bit smaller than the BB8220; the keyboard of the BB8220 was slightly easier to use than the BB9700 I have learned to adapt to the smaller keys. I highly recommend the BB9700.

Thank you both for your recommendations. I really appreciate it.

My only concern is that I currently manage / view seven Google Calendars and I struggled with this issue the last time I had a BB. Any hints on this subject? (I'm sure this has been addressed in the forums but I have not yet searched for it).

You got the right Forum! I would say 9700 also!

EDIT: I expanded the title to try to draw you some help on the calanders inssue, I don't use it myself so I can not help there, but I'm sure some other CBers can.
