At first I thought that first place would go to the Bold 9900 for sure, but I just got the Curve 9320 and I have been liking how responsive the keys were, and the unmistakable clacks when I depress the keys. Although it does not have that broad space on it, I have not been able to get off this keyboard...
If one thing RIM really can do no wrong in the smartphone it is in the area of keyboards and budget phones.
so what are your picks for best Blackberry keyboards ever?
I do think RIM is simply dominating the keyboard segment. No matter in any of their models. I have the Bold 9000, 9700, and 9900, each generation has been better than the previous. Curve 8900, and 9360, both has very nice clickable an responsive feeling when typing. Torch 9810, the keyboard is a tad small for my liking, but it is still decent to type on. Storm 9500, which doesn't have physical keys, but the clickable screen is still interesting. I also have a 7230 as well, which albeit old, the buttons still feels very nice, but a bit too far spaced out for my liking.
Overall, personally, I vote for the 9900 as having the best keyboard.
I have never been able to type on ANY curve model I think my fingers are too fat to mash the keypad.
That being said I will have to vote 9900 I have yet to make a typo on it. I might have voted 9000, which was always my previous answer, but so long ago I can't remember it anymore, lol
I've used both the 9900 and 9320. While I agree the Curve 9320 has a pretty nice, responsive keyboard I dont think it can top the Bold 9900's keyboard. That keyboard is pretty smooth.
So for me the best keyboard, so far, has to be the Bold 9900.
