    i have a 9700 purchased thru att, unlocked and used with telcel plan in mexico. it has worked perfectly, but now i can't send or receive emails nor can i use bb messenger. sms and mms work. if i try to use email or bb msg, i get a little red clock symbol. tried taking battery out and replacing it. received a msg saying "uncaught exception: padding byte out of range". help!

    You have a BB data plan under Telcel, correct?

    Go to Options, Advanced Options, Host Routing Table. Press. The Blackberry button and select "Register Now".

    yes...my plan is with telcel. i bought the phone new in the states at att and had it ulnocked. any help would be appreciated.

    Call your provider and have em resend your service books if you have not already.

    Sounds like you need to call your provider and have them help you figure it out.

    yea call your provider and make sure your data plan is properly set up on the account. also, have them manually resend your service books.
