I realize I'm probably among the minority here - but I have a BB phone and ride horses. A few times now (and I try to be SSSOOO careful), my beloved BB has fallen from my pocket and buried itself in either the arena (deep sand) or the round-pen (deep dirt). I have a clear hard-case on the BB and also the privacy screen protector on it, so those can be removed and cleaned, but are there any tips on cleaning out the keypad area? I'm sure there is sand in the keys - although I don't know this because the phone works fine and I've had no problems, but I'm sure it can't be good for the phone!

Use a little compressed air. Like keyboard cleaner. Just be careful as it can ice if you spray it too long. And for God's Sake Cowgirl! Get an OtterBox! http://shop.crackberry.com/content/search/

LOL! Thanks for the compressed air tip - I have that, and will definitely try it!!! But YIKES... don't the Otterbox(es) have something a little more trendy? I so can't do utility-type construction-looking hardware! C'mon... gotta keep up the girlie appearances!

Pink would be better! Actually, I'd like to have it "blinged out", but don't want to spend the ~$200 - $300 to have it done. Now THAT would be even less practical!

Get one of these, that way you don't have to worry about sand, dirt or mud.

And you can just use this when out with the horses and you can still do your bling thing when the phone isn't "Working" (the horses that is).

But an Otterbox will save your phone should a horse step on it. Blinged out or not, crushed phones don't look very girlie.
