Pretty good move if you ask me. Since they moving to more of a services company. The more users the better for BB as a services company in the future

Who knows :/ but yeah he still didn't announce any significant details..

I think he's just saying obvious stuff. Sort of predicting. BlackBerry for example didn't rule out that they won't make bbm for Wp. I am not saying he's real, but it could be possible that they make desktop bbm and wp

They need to get it on wp8, PC's, mac's and everywhere they can.
That's a pretty bold matter-of-fact statement when BlackBerry itself hasn't said a word.
If they really want to position BBM as a leading x-plattform messanger, they need to support as many plattforms as possible. With Windows Phone being 3rd placed gets more and more obvious, they need to bring BBM for this plattform.

Amazing how he deleted all of his tweets from before August 18. Because he was wrong about EVERYTHING when launch was here last winter
I wonder if people realize a desktop version of BBM was already demoed.
BBM on the desktop gets a BlackBerry Jam Asia demo | CrackBerry.com
Not a big prediction lol
Bbry said this and demo software at any event about a month ago. I think they said windows desktop but that probably means phones also.

We already know BlackBerry is making BBM for pcs/laptops..

That desktop version was just mirroring from the phone, wasn't it? In other words, it wasn't like Hangouts, which runs standalone without the need to connect your phone.
Watch the video, it's obviously working on desktop in the demo. It's a legit windows program you can move around a screen just like MSN, AOL and skype.

It is running on the computer but in reality it's running on the phone but the phone is connected to the computer via blue tooth in assuming. Similar to how bridge worked on PlayBook. At least I think that's how it works.

I did a co-op for BlackBerry and BBM Desktop was our groups brainchild. The application they debuted in Asia was a bridge type application that was based on the concept of bridge form the playbook, was the first version we built. The latest BBM Desktop built was a standalone application that had its own pin, but had the ability to use an existing pin if your account has multiple pin enabled (restricited to employees working on it). Why it wasn't already released dealt with security concerns that come from having a computer have BBM. But now BlackBerry has become very lenient on security for BBM and are looking at more x-platform things so work on bringing it to Mac and PC has resumed in our group.
Well he was wrong about a lot, but not everything. He predicted the cool headphones.

Sounds like a great idea. I hope security is decent, doesn't need to be extreme for most applications but solidly secure based on your preferences.
Don't kill the app for the 1% who need the extreme security. Maybe that's what your BlackBerry is for.

Well on their Facebook page they said the same thing, so I think it must be true
Good grief.
That's not an official page.
Really, they got 384k likes in a couple of days. Shouldn't BlackBerry be doing something?

I hope the webOS version is released pretty soon so I can see what all the fuss is about. :rotfl:
Every time you use a proprietary messaging system God kills a kitten.
