Last week we heard that RIM opened up submissions for developers to send in their apps for the BlackBerry Torch 2 9810, Torch 9850, and Curve 9360. Now, it seems these changes are reaching the end user, as the BlackBerry 7 devices are listed in the ‘View compatible BlackBerry smartphones’ section for select apps. For instance, the Foursquare app shows it is compatible for the still unannounced OS 7 devices. Hopefully this is just one more sign that RIM will soon unveil these new devices and they’re that much closer to be in our hands.

Noticeably absent from this list is the Bold 9790 "Bellagio". Maybe this phone was in the works and got canned for some reason, but it isn't showing up here, at least for now.

I don't see them releasing the 9790. It does not make sense to use this 2 year old design.

So why the leaked photos, pre-release name, tutorial videos, and a leaked OS version then?

Doesn't make sense NOT to release it now

It's good that we are getting a lot of official information from RIM. I am glad they are officially releasing it all over the net, especially on their websites (such as app world).

Went to download my new BBM and it gives a list of compatible devices. Since I was curious and don't know what all the code #'s are for BB, I looked them all up and put their names beside each. Marked new devices with red. This info is directly off BB site.

Beyond that which does seem fairly likely, the other obvious answer is that it isn't due with the first batch of os7 devices so that appworld update would include it or any others that are due later in the year.
