Work have decided that we are to receive Blackberries for business use.
I have been given the option of either an 8200 or 8100 pearl on the uk orange network.

I like the size of the pearl however the keypad maybe a little difficult to use?
The 8200 looks a bit of a beast to carry around however it has built in GPS that maybe useful on the road and is also a newer phone.
I'm not interested in the WiFi capabilities of the 8200.
On longer journeys I may use the device for music or vids.

Any ideas from you guys which is the better device?
I have to have a laptop with me at all times that I am out of the office so long emails will not be an issue.

Is there really that much of a difference with regards to battery life?

Thanks for any help or advice you can give with this choice.

    I love the GPS!

Both of the OSs are very very similar. You will notice the 8820 feels heavier and sturdier than the 8100, but again, they are both good devices. They both can have a Media card for music/videos.

It really does boil down to four feature differences for you...

    GPS?
    WiFi?
    SureType or full QWERTY keyboard?
    Larger screen on the 8820?

As an 8100 owner who uses it primarily as a personal device, for business related use, I would likely go with the 8820. The GPS would be very useful if you travel frequently, and the larger screen would be better for vids you said you may watch.
