So I ordered a new battery from the crackberry store. It's water damage indicator is different than mine. Mine has a red line going across it, the one from crackberry has a bunch of red X's across it. What's the difference? Does the red line on my original one mean water damange?
Oh and should I wait to put this new battery in until bedtime to make sure it gets a full charge before use? its a 100mAh standard battery.
Couldn't hurt. The first charge should always be a full charge.

No they are not and no amount of internet misinformation will change that.
I have tested this. All four batteries are still in service and the stickers are
unchanged. You can't really argue with empirical evidence.
Ok then to clarify what does the indicator look like? And where is it located? And out of curiosity why would they put a "void if removed" sticker on a battery?

There are several. They are all approx 1/4 white squares. On the
Pearls and Curves (the only devices I am talking about) there is
one just above the SIM card and one inside the phone.
Hmmnn, ok. The only things I've seen like you descibe cover screws that appear to hold the case together or components inside which if removed would basically indicate that the bb had been in some way dismantled...a "void if removed" sticker if you will.
* I don't doubt what you are saying and I'm certainly not gonna dip my battery in water to test any theory.
