Hey guys just bought a new blackberry z10 yesterday. When using the phone the battery percentage goes down one percent every minute. The phone is on the lowest brightness setting too. When using the phone in at most using two applications at once (Facebook and browser). Can anyone shed any light on this please? I went to bed left my phone sleep mode and woke and it lost 10% battery power. Phone is running latest os too. It says it has 16 hours remaining but that's definitely not the case. Thanks.

The phone probably take its time to settle in because it's new and the OS is also new so all the synchronizing takes a lot of the battery. Allow the phone 48 hours to settle in properly, after that restart your phone, charge it fully and see if the same problem persists/ repeat itself.

Also if you are going to bed why not turn off wifi? That burns battery too you know?

Look mate the z10 battery Is not that good and at fairly minimal use, turning off connections when I don't need I can get 12-14 hours.. but I snapchat a lot and the camera burns battery, I also am a hardcore user so 6-9 hours.

Also turn off the "send reports to blackberry " thing and blackberry link

Buy a battery bundle lol....seriously that's the best advice I can give u cause its not gonna get better. I personally don't believe that whole settling thing works much.

Z10 battery life is pretty bad for me but its saving grace is that u can remove it's battery

There is a feature in calendar setting, that syncs your various email calendars, get the task manager app in BlackBerry World and it will kill apps that run in the background. Its not perfect but it does help improve battery life a bit.

I updated to the latest leak this weekend. All this week I had serious battery drain. I have had my Z10 for a year and hadn't this issue before so knew something was not right. It seemed to be related to Wi-Fi. But hard resets didn't fix it. Finally, I powered down and pulled the battery. Something I've never had to do before. Today everything is back to normal. Not saying this the fix for you but it helped me.

Just a suggestion. There are probably 100 threads on Z10 battery life. You might find some useful information if you try a search.

Just once in awhile refresh the app. To see what's running and kill them. The calendar sync is really a killer. Especially when you feel the phone getting warmer than usual. Goodluck.

My challenge is 12 hours right now ah. I've used it very little compared to regular days tho. Just snapchat and goal.com news and a bit of crackberry and YouTube streaming

The battery life has been more stable the last couple of days. I deleted all the android ports too as they were an obvious drain. Thanks anyway everyone.
