Life would be so much easier if we had a bar file installer much like the APK installer. I know it does seem much complex but anyways there'd be much more people beta testing products and side loading wouldn't sound like such a b****

Try Sideswype. It takes away the messes with sideloading but charges a little bit for that service since they're hosting a vpn through which they are rooting the bar file to simulate "sideloading" from outside of the device. 99 Ct for 10 sideloads, 4,99$ for 60 Sideloads...

I might be wrong, but I think someone made something like this for the PlayBook back in the day. Anyone else remember this and is it still floating around? Or is the dev still around, maybe they could convert it to use on BB10.

Kudos to them but that's the kind of hassle I don't want to go through

I am familiar with ddpb, I still use it actually. No I mean someone actually made an app for the Playbook for installing BAR files. Directly on the Playbook, no computer needed.

It is exactly what you want. Having a bar file on the device and install it right away with any other computer or device. It just costs you a little bit, max 10 ct per sideload.

I don't know what could be any easier than that google extension. Being relatively new here in the BlackBerry forums, I was quite intimidated to side load anything in fear of damaging my phone or doing something wrong.

With the new update, I knew it was time to roll up my sleeves and get this "snap" installed. I followed the instructions in Crackberry regarding the chrome extension to the letter and bam, I did it.

Now that I did it once, I am able to do two phones in about 8 minutes, it does not get easier than that!

    On my awesome BlackBerry Z30

It's not for me, just for lots of people who find side loading extra work. Idk I just figured they could do what they did with the apk where you could install it directly. I'm sure there's a reason why they haven't
