Entertaining video. It will be interesting to find out just how many actually bend from normal use, as clearly many were deliberately bent once the story broke (and clear in the video some were intentionally bent)

You hit the nail on the head, it's all part of the manufacturing process and defects are already factored in. Bottom line is as long as they replace the defective device, who cares.

They can all bend in exactly the same way. It's a design flaw.

20 million out of 20 million = ALL OF THEM

That's the same as saying that all of the Q10's have the double typing issue. Do they?

It's not the same at all, your comparing apples with oranges and ending up with bananas, bent bananas!

To achieve its thinness the iPhone 6 Plus has been designed in a way that is structurally less strong than the 6, or any iPhone that has gone before it and by a large margin. As a result they ALL bend more easily than any other iPhone and most other phones, and all iPhone 6 Pluses bend more easily by the same margin.

The double typing Q10 issue has been sometimes just down to software, sometimes down to malfunctioning hardware, sometimes both. At no point has it been the result of a design flaw, merely hardware and software functioning outside of their design parameters, probably due to poor component quality control somewhere along the production line.

In comparison the bendy iPhone 6 Plus is bendy as a direct result of its design. It's operating 100% WITHIN its design parameters and yet it bends easily.

Not all Q10s double type, ALL iPhone 6 Pluses bend easily.

How do you explain that if it's "the same thing"?

    OT:
As my Q10 approached 1 year and three months, the keyboard got noticeably softer with hardcore use, and then slowly developed the double-typitis...

I don't see it as a design fault per se, but rather a consumable that wears out and eventually needs to be replaced with ongoing use.

Most desktop keyboards and other devices are rated to X number of keystrokes (about 100,000 or more afaik), and the same should apply to keyboards on a phone, logically. It can only survive as many keystrokes until the mechanism breaks down...

    :-)

Lol If they all bend easily then why haven't there been millions of returns? How do you know they all bend? How do you know that all of the Q10's don't double type? You can't have it both ways.

Who said iPhone 6 Pluses bend easily? Not me. I said they bend MORE EASILY than other iPhones and most other phones. That's been proven, Google it.

All iPhone 6 Pluses are made from the same structural design and the same materials. They all bend just as easily. Why wouldn't they all bend the same more to the point?

Do you think they flop around like they are made of plasticine? Have you actually watched any of the bending videos on YouTube to see the pressure points on the structure and the force required? Do you think every iPhone 6 Plus owner in the world is going to wilfully copy what they see on YouTube and bend their overpriced phone they just bought?

As for the Q10, of course they don't all double type. Haven't you seen the comments on threads about double typing where they say "Mine is fine" etc? I have 3 Q10s at my disposal, guess what, none of them double type.

Prem just explained that his Q10 double typing problem came on gradually through wear and tear. Mine haven't shown any signs of doing the same.

So far 5 out of 5 Q10s that I have owned have double typed=100%. I really don't care if the iPhone bends, that's why I'm on CrackBerry, but I do care that BlackBerry can't seem to make keyboards that work anymore. My current one is about 5 months old now, and it's double typing, and this is the longest lasting of the 5 I've had! This means I don't want a Classic since they supposedly have the same keyboard as the Q10 .
