I have a question. When Blackberry Desktop Manager backs up our data, is it backing up EVERYTHING? Sooner or later, t-mobile is going to have a new OS ready and I want to be able to update my blackberry without losing anything. (is it backing up phone numbers? memos? profiles? themes? calendar dates? messages?)

Yeah watch the screen, the progress bar when you do a backup. It will tell you what's going on. Address book, calender, messages etc etc
