So i have a blackberry z30 on rogers did a full back up via link. Then wiped my device wanting to do a fresh restore because few features of 10.3.1 were being weird so i thought restore might fix it. Well until after the wipe i found that rogers pulled the update and i went to restore on the latest 10.2 well none of my contacts, texts, calender, and notepad stuff came back after the restore... i downloaded a leak thinking that might fix the issue nope. Why aren't these things restoring? is there a way i can open up the back up file and get the info out of it?

Sounds like you are doing the right process. Try using a previous backup. As for Contacts, if you use a synced account, when you add the account, that stuff should sync back to your phone.

Try doing a OS restore using the BB link software in ur computer instead of doing a wipe in ur phone.

No. You can restore a backup from a new OS to an old OS. Doesn't make sense.

I did a restore from the computer, and auto loader both same issue.

thankfully i did a back up about 3 weeks ago and the contacts came back from that. But i still lost a lot of **** in calender and notepad.. which is really frustrating..

Is there anyway to open a back up file and look at the contents that are inside of it?
