I want the phone to make a sound when I get an email. Not just blink the red light. I went into Profiles, Advanced, and went to the active profile and tried setting a ring tone on High volume for all of the following entries:
Gmail - New Mail
Level 1 Messages
Messages[[email protected]]
Messenger - Alert
Messenger - New Message
I did each one, one at a time, and then sent myself an email from an unaffiliated account and still all i get is the stupid blinking red light whenever I get an email. no audible alert. What am I doing wrong?
I do get the ringtones that I selected for SMS Text and Phone but nothing else.
Make sure that the "In Holster" and "Out of Holster" option is not set on Mute. You will want it set to either Tone or Vibrate and Tone.
Which one? I mean, which one of those 5 things that I listed:

Edit: also you were right I thought setting volume from mute to high was all I needed to do but I also had to set None to Tone. Wow, confusing! Thanks though!
