So much info and I can't seem to figure out what the deal is. Does anyone in the know have an answer.... Is the Atlas for Verizon coming out? If not how long will I have to wait for the 9700 on verizon?
The 9700 is a GSM only phone, so unfortunately it won't be released on Verizon. In the future there may be a similar phone, but for now the big phones on VZW are the Storm2, the Curve 8530, and in the near future the Essex(Tour2).

The Atlas will not come to Verizon as it is set for release to Asian markets, not the US. There's virtually no difference between the Atlas and Essex, except where it will be released.
Yea the atlas is not coming out in the states. The essex is what your looking for. The difference is the essex has the tour keyboard, and I believe the atlas has the curve keyboard.
