sal: "This is in fact another Bold, and the reason of its existence is to hit other markets: China and East Asia to be more specific. So, to all of you guys wondering why RIM was putting out the same phone again, here is your why, and it makes perfect sense to me."

Why wouldn't they just sell the 8900 in china and and east asia. Am i missing something?

All for a trackpad????? Why not release the new curve 8520 or whatever....or release the onyx. This device makes no sense to me.

not just for trackpad. an upgraded midsection device (faster CPU/ more ram) but without 3g.

I guess just like the tour is meant for CDMA carriers
