This reminds me of one of my toys a long time ago: a Commodore "computer" that had 5K of RAM in which only 3K was available for the user. I had to make a 3K peripheral memory card to get a total of 8K RAM. Some years later, it took two of us to move a 5MB NorthStar computer hard disk. It weighed like a room air conditioner.

Interesting article. Thanks for sharing. Based on the comments on the link it seems that the storage space issue is sort of subjective or debatable.

Kind of sad when the article makes the mistake of confusing memory and storage. Still, it is an interesting article that looks at a rarely discussed part of the spec porn that has come to dominate discussion on phones in the last few years.

I think the author means storage space when he uses the term "memory" in the article. Storage space is usually understood as internal memory (or vice versa), whereas RAM is memory used by the CPU to process data. Please refer to information here.
