Is it just the light reflection, or is that a white X10?

While I still think that Gizmodo is a terrible site on the whole, it is very encouraging to see bb10 winning over the biggest doubters.

    just a thought...

While there are quite a bit of comments on the back plate, i think there is a good reason why it looks plasticky.

    NFC

If your going to be tapping the back of the phone on stuff, the back is gonna get scuffed. Can easily be replaced with a new backing since it's removable.

Imagine trying to use NFC on a thin glass back?

Would rather see the backing mildly "rubberized" like my current Bold though. Sure, the back plate itself is smooth plastic, but is has a sort of "rubberized" bumper - so no scratches.

Gizmodo, and the Gawker Network in general, exist solely to generate page views. When Apple dropped the ball with Maps they were running like three Apple sky-is-falling stories a day because they knew that would keep people visiting and commenting. Now BB10 is generating buzz and Gizmodo is doing their best to incite flameways with 'controversial' posts.

Unlikely. Many of the current ardent Apple fans will point with condemnation to the down years of Apple, between the original Macintosh and the iPod.

    Haters gonna hate...

Probably. Although this author was honest with his very first line saying "I've always hated BlackBerry phones." I can see a lot more people coming out and saying this once they see the new BB10 phones. I can see my boss being one of those. She's a gadget nut too and we get into tech conversations every so often. A few weeks ago I told her about BB10 and she wrinkled her nose and said "I don't like BlackBerry." I told her this was a new animal. In fact, I think I'll send her this link.
