BlackBerry Ltd (BBRY): The German Government Might Give An Unexpected Boost To BlackBerry - Seeking Alpha

"The German firm Secusmart turns BlackBerry (BBRY) devices into ultra secure devices by installing an encryption engine via a micro SD card. Once installed, BlackBerry phones meet NATO requirements for classified communications."

And, oh, I love this part:
"According to German site local.de (quoting Bild), the iPhone will no longer be a device that will handle "official correspondence.""

How the NSA could bail out BlackBerry: NSA spying allegations: BlackBerry could benefit | BGR
they cite an interesting Soans' article in the one you mentioned:
And as most Chief Information Officers will attest, on the mobility front, BlackBerry is the Gold Standard when it comes to security, writes Soans. According to a blog post by George Kesarios, as a result of the NSA revelations, the Apple iPhone will no longer be a device that will handle official correspondence in the German government.

How BlackBerry stands to benefit from NSA snooping allegations | Firstpost
in which they underline that "BlackBerry will inevitably deemphasize the handset business, or wont focus on selling it to consumers.
Meaning being present on costumers' market but not focusing on it...maybe the best way to rebuild Blackberry from its core business to a larger base when Apple and Android will begin to stall (they'll eventually reach a point where 'outsiders' will have a card to play, i already know a lot of people bored to death with their iphones/android devices...)
BB isn't competitive enough for now, but with some time (and 10.2.1 fw open-mindedness to Android environment will do a lot imho) they could easily find their place even in the 'entertainment' mobile phone business once they will have rebuilt an aura in business market.
