Conclusion
It's a purely hardware comparison (price and weight count for one point each aslo). A little harsh on the iphone if you want my opinion, there's more to the phone than the hardware.
Absolutely. We'll see comparisons like that going one way or the opposite in the next days/weeks.
This one is clearly in favor of BB10 Z10, but its only "one of" ...
Still interesting while it denotes that BB10 now hits the French press, in that case, for the best.
You've got to be kidding me!
1) The iPhone gets a no score for probably the best screen on the market although it marginally smaller than the Z10's.
2) CPU and Memory: 2 points for being the BENCHMARK device out there while the Z10 scores 3?
3) Camera and video? Good grief.
4) Autonomy, weight and price, whatever the **** this is... The iPhone is a better value for money phone at the moment, it's lighter and is pretty autonomous when iCloud is used effectively. I actually think the Z10 is slightly overpriced.
The only thing he got right was the connectivity.
This dude shouldn't do reviews when he's drunk. Maybe he mistook the 4S for the iPhone 5.
I read the full review, its a number to number hardware spec comparison, not a personal review.
One mans opinion...I like it,
As if the Z10 screen is junk. It has a better resolution than the Iphone5 with better ppi. It's no slouch. It has the Note 2 Resolution in a much smaller screen. It clearly beats the Note 2 screen overall in side glare and brightness.
Also, the Z10 is better in CPU and memory....You don't have to replace the Z10 to add more memory. And that make's it much better value for anyone.
I don't understand weight really. I don't ever remember someone not buying a phone because it's slightly heavier than the lightest phone out there. It's not even a conversation. No one really cares. No one gives a crap
I like the camera features on the Z10 more than the Iphone. I think I'll be using that time shift thingy much more than taking super wide pictures for absolutely no reason what's so ever. But Android does kick the pants off both the Iphone and Z10 camera software.
You can't compare hardware in that manner. A CPU can have a slower clock speed and less cores but can scream when benchmarked. How is it that the A6 outperforms the Exynos 4 in the S3?
The screen is what I find most bizarre though because the iPhone scores a zero while the Z10 scores a 3 despite it being a pentile display as opposed to IPS on the iPhone. If it is based solely on size then fine but that has little to do with hardware. DisplayMate believes that the iPhone 5 has the best screen ever put in a mobile device according to the tests they've run.
I'd hate to see how they score an iPhone against the multitude of Android handsets out there.
If you're going to score hardware explain the science behind your conclusions not bigger/more is automatically better.
Anyway, the hardware on Z10 is more than decent apart from the camera as far as I can tell.
More ppi and resolution doesn't necessarily translate into a better viewing experience. Pentile displays just don't hold a candle to RGB displays due the over-saturation of green. Pentile displays have only half of the red and blue sub pixels when compared to RGB displays. You will often find that whites look more yellow on pentile displays because of this.
Better CPU in what way? Clock speed? What about the CPU architecture? 32nm vs 22nm etc etc. Also, the Z10 is better in CPU and memory....You don't have to replace the Z10 to add more memory. And that make's it much better value for anyone.
I will give you the memory argument but if it is that much of an issue then just buy a high capacity device.
Don't fight with me... Fight with the author. He set it as a criteria.I don't understand weight really. I don't ever remember someone not buying a phone because it's slightly heavier than the lightest phone out there. It's not even a conversation. No one really cares. No one gives a crap
This is not hardware. You're referring to the software now and as such should be excluded from the debate.I like the camera features on the Z10 more than the Iphone. I think I'll be using that time shift thingy much more than taking super wide pictures for absolutely no reason what's so ever. But Android does kick the pants off both the Iphone and Z10 camera software.
Take it easy, the OP just translated the conclusion page. The rating system is pure hardware based:
- Screen: Blackberry (3 points for Size, Resolution, PPI ) - 3-0 BB
- Processor & Memory: Blackberry (2 points CPU, RAM) - Iphone (1 point for better Internal Storage) plus same dual core (1 point each) - 3-2 Blackbery
-Connectivity Blackberry: 3 points for NFC, HDMI, UMTS/HSPA/4G LTE inFrance, Both Equal on WIfi and Bluetooth (1 poit each) 4-1 Blackberry
-Camera andf Video: Blackberry 1 point for 2mp front cam, both equal on back cam, 720p and 1080p (3pts each) - 4-3 Blackberry
-Battery Design and Price: Blackberry 2 pts cuz longer battery on standby and lower price, Iphone 1 pt (lighter) 2-1 Blackberry
end result: 16-7 Blackberry.
As i said, it's just a hardware comparison. Nothing more.
