Heck... Come to think of it... I didn't even know what a BlackBerry was then... And yet, the 8310 was my 1st device.

Wow! At that time I had not purchased my first BlackBerry (Pearl 8100). I was using the Audiovox Thera 2032:

Was using an old Palm T5 and Samsung Flip.

Then I moved on to the glory of the 8320.

At that time, I have never even imagined that someday, I'm going to have a BlackBerry since back then, I think of BlackBerry as something only elites and business people would afford (I was still a student that time).

I remember playing with one back then! My teacher had just gotten one and was eager to show me (as she knew I would probably be able to figure it out and tell her how to operate it. ).

And this is what I had back then. The funniest thing is, right when I bought the 8310, this device simply vanished from existance. I went to bed owning one and woke up never to see it again. o.0

What was really fun about that thing was the add-ons. It had a Compact Flash slot that accommodated all kinds of stuff. I had an add-on for an FM radio, one for a camera, one for GPS (I think) and another for WiFi. Man we have come a long way

I still have my Sidekick 3. Of course since the Danger servers are no more I can't even stick my SIM in it and use it for a day just for fun. I wish I had kept my LX too.

I had a Bluetooth GPS puck to go with my 8320. With Palm, I had all sorts of add-ons LOL.

What exactly is a Bluetooth puck?

The 8320 didn't have GPS, so you needed a puck like this: Accessory Review: Freedom Keychain GPS 2000 | CrackBerry.com. So, to have GPS on that bad boy, you needed to pair a puck to it.

The joy of variants... LOL. IIRC, the 8310 didn't have wifi, the 8320 didn't have GPS and the 8330 had everything.

That is correct. I had the 8310 and one of my coworkers at the time had the 8320. We used to joke that together we had a complete phone.

What an object of lust that was at the time. Moto had horrible software but absolutely ruled with their compact phones. To this day I love that design.
