I would think that the Blackberry is going to have better native encryption than a Galaxy.......

I'm not being snarky because I'm actually quite interested in this myself. What do you base your response on? I'm not all that convinced that non BES BlackBerry is any more secure than either Samsung or Apple. I've been looking for a definitive answer to this question and never have been able to get one. BlackBerry WAS the most secure prior to OS10. Also, aren't the new Apple and Samsung/Android phones being encrypted out the door now? I mean, isn't that why the FBI is so up in arms about the phones now?

Well I was looking at a note 3 today, and I couldn't find Encrypt data files, and SD card in settings ---security...just like I can with a BlackBerry device, this why I'm asking are apps absolutely safe or should I stick with BlackBerry 10.3?? The passport isn't to shabby for a device it's very very different, but really intuitive.

Security isn't in the apps or device.......
It's in the user of said apps or device......

    You can't fix stupidity......

    You may find these interesting:

Then also keep in mind that Google changed the permission model:

    My personal conclusion:

Yes, it's absolutely possible to use Android without compromising your privacy... but you will be very busy with defense strategies.

I personally don't have time for that.
