Hi everyone, I've only had my BB Tour for a little over a month, if that, so please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but, what the **** is the application center for? I figured it was to update my apps, but it only displays the same 5 or 6 apps and didn't do a thing as far as the BB appworld update was concerned. Not really a pressing matter, but just curious. Thanks.

No, I know what the application switcher is. In the main menu there is a folder called "Application Center." In it are some apps on the phone. E.g., Flikr, Facebook, BB Appworld, etc. Thanks.

I'm guessing is to access apps put on your device by your carrier (in your case VZW) like flicker, etc...

Yeah, I completely remove app center via shrink-a-os.

That just provides access to apps provided by RIM. Dump it and get App World and the CB mobile store.
