There is this one app developer on the app world - I won't say the company name - but he uploads tons of books about "sex and slavery". Sometimes I click on most recent apps, and his books fill every single spot. I know you can filter out adult material or whatever but should this be allowed? Loading the app world with sexual content? There are a lot of kids with blackberry phones and playbooks...

So.... you wish to make the history of slavery disappear?.. and sex too?

If you wish to control what kids see then i suggest you disable the internet from their phones and cancel your TV service before thinking that they will browse such apps, buy them then read them on a tiny screen.

There are a lot of adults with BlackBerry phones and Playbooks too. As an adult I retain the right to watch and read up on as much pornography as I want.

If someone doesn't want their child(ren) to access that then it's on them how they prevent that. But you can't take away an adult's right to choose.

And trust me those "kids" you are talking about, they know much more about sex than what is available on the App World. Unless of course the kids live in a cave high up in the mountains with no Internet.

I found 25 consecutive audiobooks with same icon in New Arrival to be more inappropriate

If the "app developer" is Digi-Media, I agree all their e-books poorly disguised as apps should be removed and the submitter banned from BlackBerry AppWorld. The content of the e-books is immaterial; it is the exceedingly poor quality of their apps. Research In Motion needs to step up enforcement of a higher standard of applications approved for inclusion through the BlackBerry AppWorld storefront. Does Alec Saunders need to spend the night in the local federal prison before he takes responsibility?

They should never have been approved in the first place, but right now RIM doesn't really care about the status of their old App World. Its time is limited.

Don't look at their apps? I mean just because you do not like a certain app maybe some else does why should they not be allowed access to that app just because to you it isn't appropriate? If you have a child with a phone block that type of app or get them a dumb phone.

They could have some sort of age verification I suppose that could access the "Adult" portion of App World.

There are lots of adult apps on all of the systems. I could care less if they are available. Freedom of choice is a must. I have no interest in adult apps I just go right by them and get on looking for the things I want. The best kids filter is Mom and Dad. Dont put your responsibility off on someone else.
