Quite possibly a silly question but I have no idea whether you have to re-purchase All your Apps if you change your phone?

In most cases no. The simplest way, for me, has been to reinstall apps from the original
source, be it AppWorld, MobiHand, etc. rather than bringing them over in the device switch.

Just bear in mind that there will be some apps that are made for one OS, say OS5, that simply
will not work in another (OS6 or OS7)

Just noticed there is no Kindle reader for the 9900. kind of makes my decision easy - stay with my 9800 as it is easily my most used app.

Having been told in another thread that the 9800 Kindle reader works on the 9900, I've taken the plunge and ordered one. Can hardly bear the wait.

And transferring all settings, apps and 3rd party apps was just a doddle using BB Desktop Software. Took about 30 minutes all told, from unboxing to functional fully loaded telephone. Woot woot.

DM has come a long day.

Only two apps that take a little work are BeBuzz and BeWeather.

I usually just use DM to make a device switch. Easy though sometimes slow if I have a lot of data. Heck, even my BBM buddies don't even know I changed my device... It was that seamless.
