I have web bots that alert me any time Research in Motion twitches. It been really twitching, like the rest of my investments.

I take comfort in Jim Balsillie comment: The stock market will do what the market does, we still have 5 times the market share as the next guy.

This time last year, seeing these prices was being optimistic. This time next year, they will look like a bargain.

    Disclaimer: What do I know?

It did, but it got lost in the noise around Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac. Pretty hard to buck that kind of trend.

Today we have AIG making everybody dive for cover. Tomorrow, who knows, but September 25 is first quarter results. I am confidant the news will be positive, like nearly 20 Million subscribers.

First Google Android phone to cost $199 - WSJ - September 17, 2008 4:17PM ET

NEW YORK, Sept 17 (Reuters) - The first mobile phone to use Google
Inc's Android mobile operating software will cost $199, the Wall
Street Journal reported on its website on Wednesday. The phone,
which features a slide-out keypad, is being manufactured by
Taiwan's HTC Corp and will be sold by Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile
USA unit, which plans to unveil the device at an event in New York
on Sept. 23. AT&T Inc , the only U.S. operator selling Apple
Inc's iPhone, set the price of the latest version at $199 in July,
setting a benchmark for smartphones that can surf the Web, manage
email and other multimedia features. The Journal, citing people
familiar with the matter, said T-Mobile USA plans to release new
data service plans in conjunction with the Google phone that will
be "aggressively priced." Google, HTC and T-Mobile USA declined
comment on the pricing for the phone. (Reporting by Tiffany Wu and

The new guy in town. We have know about this for a while, not like Google was trying to keep it a secret.

Neither. It is fresh new approch to the smartphone concept.

    More like iPhone with advertising.

To me stocks are irrelevant when it comes to RIM. They are doing good, and the future is certain to be bright in the next 5 years for sure.

I'm not a stock market person, hate it.

I don't see what the big hype about Android is. It hasn't proven itself yet. I will not give it the green light until it's out and users have messed around with it.

If it is a hit, then RIM will have lots to worry about. I've said this over and over and this will probably not be the last, RIM needs to re-work/revamp, whatever you want to call it, their OS.

You have Apple, Android, Windows (soon to come out with a banger as I see it is attacking Macs), & even Palm introducing new a OS. What's funny I was talking to a guy in my data department (Area Manager) that said RIM is old as I asked him why he wasn't getting the Bold. He told me RIM has limitations with the OS. This is the reason you still aren't able to have apps on a memory card, still have the memory leaks, 1gb of memory! and a couple of other things. Same old lady, with a new wig! (Bold, Javelin, Kickstart & Storm)

I love RIM/Blackberries, but I do indeed believe they are getting too comfortable.

    App Store...
Google/Android will have an app store.
    Apple has an app store.
Windows will be coming out with one from all the rumors.

    RIM?

Just too much corruption, dirty money, dishonesty, and I think it does more bad for the financial economy than it does good.

Without global markets in equities and other similar securities, there would be no financial economy to speak of.

I respectfully disagree with that but I won't get into a debate about it.
