unsurprisingly the video has lots of negative comments and thumbs down.

Samething Mashable did and they got called on it. It seems the Z10 does exactly what the Playbook does when you 1st turn it on which gives you a tutorial on the gestures.

Amazing...its called getting acclimated with a device. I remember when I had my Motorola Razar (the dumb phone). I didn't know you had to hold the RED phone looking button down to power up at first either.......hence LEARNING CURVE for NEW device

After 5 minutes with the Zed, they'll probably end up trying to understand why their current devices won't respond to simple gesture inputs. That's what happened to me after learning how to operate the PlayBook after 30 seconds.

One more thing, looks like the boot time is about 60 seconds. If the BB10 OS is similar to the PlayBook OS, I wonder how long it will be before people come to grips that the Z10 doesn't have to be shut down but merely suspended and then swiped to life.

Video is a total waste of time.

I wonder what those two did to burn out so many brain cells?

If it has that "cool factor" then people will be inclined to learn the gestures. I consider myself a quick learner but after using blackberry for a while, the iphone wasn't so easy to use on the first attempt. This video demonstrate what happens when you are pre-exposed to different ways to achieve common objectives.

actually when you see things like this it becomes less surprising that blackberry are being a little mean to the US...

There is a learning curve to every device. And of course, when you purchase a new device it comes with instructions with general usage tips until you become acclimated. iMore gives tips and how-tos on how to use features for Apple devices, just like CrackBerry does, and other sites do for their devices. Heck, I let my mom try out my iPhone for the first time (she uses an Android device) and she couldn't figure it out until I SHOWED her how to. Videos like these are just sadness.

i watched a very good video on youtube that was the Z10 vs the S3 vs the iphone 5. The only negativity for both me and the people in the video was the slowness of the Z10 turning on... its my only negativity, i thought it would have been fixed by now
