I think that the cell phone / mobile phone business is just raping us! I'm paying half the amount for my car a month that I am my cell phone plan. The price of all the additional features is just nuts, I'm in no way a cheapo but I think the prices are outrageous.

For example I'm paying verizon for my internet at home, why the heck should I have to pay again for their service again on my phone? Extra money for VVM? Cmon.. Email is free with my internet package so in essence why arnt text messages free with my data plan?

Maybe I'm nuts.. I dunno.. on an averege 2 year contract it's about 4 thousand bucks.

they aren't free because people pay for them. enough people stop paying for these extra services and the company model changes to one that includes these for free to attract/keep customers.

1) if you want to play the game you need to pay the price. EVERY compnay has their doors open for one reason: to make money, and make lots of it.

2) if don't like VZW go to Cricket - i hear they just started a unlimited talk/text for around $40.00 a month.

3) and Cincinnati Bell here in Cincinnati ohio has a "why pay for two" promo going on right now, when you sign up for their "zoom town" internet you get internet on you Cincinnati Bell wireless for free..... other companies will follow suit.
