I like to check BlackBerry world on my free time and I noticed that I got an extra page of apps in last could of days. I'm not the type to download random apps either.

Feels like a slow but constant influx

We wanted more apps, and now we're getting them. Personally, I prefer quality over quantity. Ah well, it looks good on paper.

Hopefully the top 100 apps on both android and iOS come to BlackBerry 10 sooner than later

It's still the portathon backlog. They made a blitz to review all remaining apps over the past couple weeks. You'll see a constant flow for the new few weeks as rejected apps get resubmitted.

When was the last portathon? How many apps came from that?

The last one was in January, around 19k apps submitted.

There were also saying there were 1000 app submissions per day after that. They have a lot of apps to review.

I wonder if the companies will actually take notice of the reviews left on app world? There are usually countless complaints when it is an android port. I do hope they do notice the amount of complaints!

After all how expensive is it to make a native app?

BlackBerry 10 should hit 200 000 apps by summer

A huge amount of the current apps were developed for quick monetary gain, don't expect the trend to continue. In fact, continuing that trend is probably the last thing BB wants to do. They need quality apps, not filler.

I'd definitely be skeptical of your source on that one. A lot of devs I talked to were burnt out after the port-a-thons. 1000-2000 per week seems much more realistic.

I understand what you imply as that reflects my feeling as well. I just feel that their are just too many SDK'S supporting so many devs that it is inevitable that BlackBerry will have an abundance of apps. Especially when BlackBerry runtime for Android supports the more recent version of Android.

I do like what I am seeing but the big one for me is MLB At Bat and I am beginning to wonder what the holdup is. Supposed to be out before the season starts and last I looked, that is this Monday.
