I was wondering if there are any tips that any of you guys know of that improve your tethering speeds. This morning I checked the speed of my internet on speedtest.net and my download speeds were about 750 kbps and about 15 minutes later, the internet slowed down dramatically and when I checked my speeds again, they were 250 kbps. I would really appreciate advice because I was really enjoying my internet being so quick. Thanks in advance.
Speed will vary and part of it is based on what kind of signal your BB is getting, EVDO or 1RXXX etc. Plus there are other factors. First thing to try is to move your phone around to try to pop back in to an EVDO signal.
Disconnecting and then restarting your phone or updating the PRL (*228) can also help.
