Jeep here...
Used to be able to have texts read out as they came.
Now, after re-pairing the z10, (mainly to get the Uconnect and Jeep logo on the lock screen when paired) all that I can do is send and receive phone calls (and play music). Text messages, bbms and emails appears to be not enabled.

If I may ask, what year Jeep and what version of Uconnect ? I am seriously looking at new Cherokee/Grand Cherokee

My 2008 JK is unable to read out my incoming messages. Handsfree is working with the phonebook and addresses to navigate to.

I need to double check the Uconnect version.
Really odd that the wiping then repairing the blue tooth added the lock screen Uconnect /Jeep logos etc. but lost the ability to read text messages.
