OK, I know I'm wishful thinking, but does anybody know of a free book download?

Check out Wattpad. Sorry, can't post the URL here, but you can find it at wattpad dot com. May not be what you're looking for, but it is free.

Gutenberg.org is the place to fine free books. They are working on archiving everything in print from Gutenbergs time through current copyright lapses.

Verns, Dickens even Shakespeare is available for downloading.

I am reading Vern's Off on a Comet when I have spare cycles.

Thanks! Does my Curve 8330 already have a reader on it?

And....are the downloads usually compatible with the new Curve?

And...how does one download a book from Gutenberg.com?

    1) No idea

    2) I have downloaded dozens of titles from there with no problems

    3) Go to the site, click the type of file you want (I choose plain text)

What part did you choose to download? I don't see any way on the page to download the book. Is this an over the Air thing? Did you choose a city?

eBooks are in TXT form, you could use the Explore in Media manager, but it is much more convient to download and install Mobipocket Reader.

Mobipocket.com - eBooks and ebook reader for your PC, PDA and Smartphone: Palm, Windows mobile, Symbian, Blackberry, or PocketPC.

Do the PC install first, it will do the BlackBerry install after you connect it.
