    Nah, it makes much more sense to cut off all communication with friends or family that choose to use something other than a BlackBerry. Do not pass go and don't collect $200. Also don't ever leave your house in case someone around has, or may at some point, broken a law and you could be collateral damage, don't leave your home in a rain storm in case you may get hit by lightning...
    I think there are many ways to dispute a poster's original premise or statements without resorting to ridicule or hyperbole. It makes the entire discussion more productive and positive for readers and participants alike.

    That's presuming the OP wants a serious discussion. The OP and his history show he usually doesn't. Hence the reactions you've seen.

    It's just a shame when that kind of negativity starts. It seems to derail all opportunity for an honest discussion of strengths/weaknesses and different needs/preferences/beliefs.
