Another Noob question... what's considered text, data or free??
- Hello all,
I tried alittle bit of searching but couldn't really find the right answer.
My Rogers BB plan includes 125 free text messaging and the 1 GB Blackberry data plan.
So on my Pearl Flip I have the option to:
- Compose Email
- Compose PIN
- Compose SMS
- Compose MMS
- Instant Message.
I've played with all of them except for MMS but lately it's been PIN and Instant Message.
So which one(s) falls under text messaging and which are considered data plan?

Pin = DATA
SMS = TXT
MMS = TXT
IM = DATA11-19-08 12:01 PMLike 0 - Welcome to CB!
You might want to confirm with your carrier if IM is text or data. With my previous carrier TMO, they considered an IM to be a text message.
I would also recommend you bump up your text message amount. Without trying too hard, I can pump out over 1,000 text messages a month. And depending on the carrier, the overages can be .10 or more PER message. So if you go over by 400 messages, that's $40.00. It may be worth the extra money to have an unlimited text message option.
