It's a great selection. Why would they do that for US only.

A quick look in the PlayBook Video Store shows that the same movies are on sale there as well.

I bought half of them! Haha. Blackberry is almost better than Redbox. I'm up to about 30 movies.

Owned..... but in reality a long term rental.

These are available to download until 1/2/2015 (some of the earlier $.99 sales only gave you a few weeks).... But the copy protection is very easy to mess up, and it requires the ability to access the download in order to unlock the file you have. But there have been some cases that others have reported the movie is no longer available to be downloaded - Special Edition or Uncut Versions.

And the FILE are HUGE, you aren't going to download a bunch of these and just keep them on your device. (but they look great on a big screen TV using an HDMI Cable)

Long Term rental.... but a great price for $.99.

Can the movies be viewed on other devices or is the DRM for the BlackBerry only?

seems like I have to buy 1 for my playbook and 1 for my Z10. At 99 cents not a huge deal but if I can load on 5 devices why exclude the playbook? I copied the download off the Z10 and placed it on the playbook and it gives me a copyright error (or is violation a better term?)

Any suggestions or insight would be appreciated.

BlackBerry only.... and only those BB10 devices connected to BlackBerry World and with your user ID. You can't just move a file to your PlayBook or a BBOS device and have it work.

So a little restrictive, but for $0.99 not bad. At least the Z10 has the HDMI out port so you could watch it on your TV.

Several of the movies aren't in the Playbook store. Among said movies are: Monuments Men, Pompeii, American Hustle, Company you keep, Captain Phillips, Last Vegas, Social Network, Donnie Brasco, Zero Dark Thirty.

Sorry. I didn't test the whole list, only the sampling I was interested in.
