Hi all, just playing with my first every Blackberry which I am using to replace my phone and iPod. Everything is going fine, but there are a couple of things annoying me which I'm hoping someone out there knows how to get around.

I listen to a lot of podcasts but if I only get part way through one and stop it, when I come back to play it it doesn't remember where you got up to and you have to start from scratch or fast forward to where you left it. Is there anyway to set the BB to remember where you were?

The other annoying thing is that when you select a playlist it starts playing automatically, is there any way of playlists acting the same way as album folders so I can scroll up and down and chose where I want it to start playing without having to listen to the start of the first track on the playlist every time?

Or is there a better media player available than the one that comes as standard on the phone?

Minor niggles but they are really bugging me!

    Thanks in advance.

If you pause a podcast, you can come back to where you left off. If you pause the podcast and attempt to listen to another song, it won't remember where you left off.

You can hit the bb button when you see your playlists that you added. Go to view to see the available songs.

    Hope that helps.

For playing podcasts, I use podtrapper. It remembers where you left off in each individual file, and supports downloading of podcasts via wi-fi or 3g. It's also great for playing audiobooks, and supports multiple playlists.
    There's a free trial available :-)

Thanks dragonsamus, yeah I hadn't realised that it was me pressing "stop" that was making it return to the start of the file each time. I've no problem with it restarting if I listen to something else because that's what my iPod did as well.

Off to have a look at podtrapper now jezzter, sounds ideal thanks.
