I just got a used Z30 and I am happy with it. Just a few days later they released the PRIV with android.

In my mind that means BB officially ditched BBos10 for Android which is fine. But I was wondering if there was any chances BB would release their version of android on older blackberry like the leap or z30?

I mean the hardware can run it, no problem. Is it something that would be possible? Any rumours regarding that?

    I would like it actually.

    What makes you think that?

They want you to, eventually, buy a new phone from them.

Various reasons - one is they took your money already - the others is that these are other old or low-end specs in terms of processor.

Yes - they would want to do that, but would it be possible to run a version of Android on an older BlackBerry phone?

The Classic and PP are probably the only existing models that would even have the remotest chance of getting an Android refresh due to their unique form-factors... and only then just to move unsold phones. Its more likely that they would want to sell you a new model as others have already posted.

That's not going to happen.... not officially. Unofficially it might happen once there's someone smart enough to figure out how to dual-boot both Android and BB10 on any BlackBerry device
