If this pick is not fake (which I doubt) you are right..Or,maybe, it's not a BIS service like the one we are used to..Maybe, following the rumors posted a couple of days ago, it's just something that allows BB to 'secure' the phone when using Android as an option..Just a guess which is 99% not going to be true. Because it would mean 'dual OS' and that this image is legit..

Well BIS is being shutdown, and won't be on BB10.

Even if the image is real I doubt it is anything what we are hoping. The 'switch to android' button is probably just an option to turn the runtime on and off to conserve battery, secure bb10 and allow bb to put android on the venice without violating the open handset alliance, no google play.
The BIS option looks interesting. Maybe BlackBerry will abandon os7 and start selling bb10 devices in regions of the world still using BIS successfully - nigeria?

Lol... have you ever tried to open an Android up right after doing a reset? The Android runtime takes a long time to initialize. There is no way they would add 'quick setting' button to do that. People already complain that the Network ON/OFF button takes too long.

Who knows. But why doesn't the quick settings drop down have the three grey horizontal 'drag' UI lines at the very bottom that let a user close it?

That's because the image is a fake. Bring it into an image editor (Photoshop, Gimp, etc.) and you'll easily see the cut & paste job.

Anyway, for those who don't yet know it, BIS doesn't bring any additional security to BBOS, except in that it enables BBM, and BBM has some low-grade encryption on it (with the same key for every device). It's not like BES, which makes BBM much more secure by using a unique-to-the-company encryption key, enabling much more secure communications within the company.

BIS was primarily a proxy server for your internet connection that added compression techniques to reduce the amount of data used to transmit web traffic, at the expense of quality for things like pictures and videos. It was designed to make 2G networks, which were the standard when BIS was designed, usable for limited mobile web browsing and email. By routing web traffic and email through BB's servers, it enabled push email and reduced data usage when those things were important.

But this is 2015, (and soon 2016), and 4G LTE networks are the norm in the developed world (and coming to developing countries quickly), and BIS would only slow down a modern connection, not speed it up. Push email is also standard today with IMAP.

BIS had real value when it was originally released, but it is obsolete today and won't be coming back. Most importantly, it did NOT bring the additional security features like some seem to believe - those folks must be confusing BIS with BES; while the acronyms are similar, the products are very different.

Like I said before, using the BIS infrastructure to offer some sort of single payment carrier-independent compressed-data Global Travel package would still be relevant. At least until everyone decides to do a T Mobile.

Hum ... while this approach is not 100% accurate (the image can be flattered/saved several times, etc), the ELA is pretty consistent here, besides the obvious logo and red circle/arrow. (also means : If fake, can be a pic displayed into the device)
Warning : FWIW, 2cents, salt, etc.
