I'll confirm as well. I got excited when I saw it. Then it got me thinking...hmm...its Nov. 1 and the launched is not scheduled to be until (rumored) Feb. 1.

This seemed early, three months out. Thats a long time to keep the excitement up. Pretty much, could we really be looking at a January launch instead? I hope so.

I could just be over thinking it. Whatevs, I'm excited.

I have been observing/watching/reading from the weeds here (in this forum) for a while on the subject of the "new and improved" RIM. My 9780 is just at the two year mark---eligible for a full discount contract upgrade. And while my anticipation meter has been maxed out for a while, and, because I won't/refust to join the i-Phone fanatic brigade and can't stand android.... my general reactions are:

1) uh-huh.......

2) will beieve it when I see it (with all due respect and loyalty to RIM and their products)

3) .........and.................this is year 2.3 of "almost here".

I hope this IS indeed a good sign..... I just................well..... you know.......

If its truly a Q1 release (late Jan / early Feb) this email is quite early and now has sparked my ~~interest~~ hopes that maybe... just maybe RIM has something up their sleeve...

EDit: Just BBM'd Blackerry Connexion asking what was up with the email. Will let you guys know if they respond. And no I'm not hopeful but here's to trying!

I think it's more about letting people know it's coming. For exposure. So for people who are planning on upgrading during the Holiday season, they might hold out.
