Alltel and the Pearl

OK, I am new to everything. Blogs, forums, everything. So I have been reading on here how Alltel does not have MMS service on the Pearl. However, I couldn't find any up to date information. I just bought my Pearl on Saturday and just found out I don't think I can send MMS messages. Is there any new software out there that you can download or can you really, under no circumstances, send an MMS message from your pearl? If this is true is it really worth keeping this phone? Is this phone really as great as everyone says? I guess I don't get it because on the Blackberry website it says with the Pearl you can send mms messages with 4.1 software or later. The software on here is 4.3. What am I doing wrong? PLEASE HELP!!!!

It doesnt work, there are no updates, and it looks like it may not work for awhile. If you really need or want MMS you should return the pearl for the curve...

Unfortunately all of us @ alltel are still waiting to hear anything definitive about if and when a new update will be available. So far we have been waiting for it over 9 months. If you want MMS take it back and get a curve.
