BB10.3.0 or later have never been mentioned anywhere on this list. If you think that this means that it's still being actively developed, I won't crash your dreams.

Believe me, I know it's not. It's some of the other forum members around here that will take that and run with it... right off a cliff.

Of course, but 10.3.x still receives tech support.

It came out in the summer of 2014, so 99% of all BB10 devices are on it.

Agreed, while no one should get their hopes up about BB10 it's important to note that BlackBerry's EOS/EOL definitions don't currently apply to BB 10.3.x versions.

Hey BB10 is not on the EOL list (10.3.3)....neither is 10.3.4. Wow! Looks like that Brilliant Bold 9900 device idea might be a BB10 one after all , maybe , possibly, hopefully, darn foolery if it aint.

Really do not care. 2020 is the date, however... the e-mail client will still function pretty much the same. It gets the information from your e-mail provider's servers to set it up easily. Manual configuration also works fine. Other fantastic part is you can update the browser security certificates by importing ones from the mozilla, chrome/ium and opera family of browsers quite easily from a memory card or OTG (device or via usb adapter).

Alas, I did just that with my bold 9900, opera mini is up to date and websites load without any security errors, except on the native webkit browser, it just won't load fsck-all since most are "expired" and it cannot read new ones. :P

There are a few ways, though you'll have to find the folder where they are located. Doing a search for the typical file name extensions for certificates is best. .crt or .cert is likely it. Best to use a search tool called "everything" to find them, and have it search hidden/system folders.

10.3 is on the list now. End of life Dec 2019.

Now that OS7 is EOL, is there anyone still able to use it? Or are those phones pretty much an iPod with a keyboard? And how is this going to affect the usability of BB10 devices?

I'm going to look into that certificate update thing, that would be awesome if I could fix those broken sites.

Usability and support are two different things.

All we know for sure is that BlackBerry World will be shut down.

I would still be proactive, and proceed on the assumption that it might be worse than that.

The certificate thing works with opera mini only on bbos, and the regular browser on BlackBerry 10 (including the android runtime I believe, or it's a separate issue altogether). However, you can still use any bbos device to send text/mms messages and make phone calls in regards to further use.

Video/camera and music/audio recording will be as fine as it was, which is the same for any GSM feature phone (video quality sucked, 320x240 or less, but pictures are great, 1mp or higher).

So any old device that can take a SIM isn't really useless unless of course, you count applications. Some carry an android tablet with them for applications, and use a feature phone for everything else. (I already am under the assumption that android has extensions that support usb modems).
