One of my friends tried the password on my phone too many times and it erased all of my contacts, pins, and set everything back to default. Its a bold for at&t. Also, I had important files in the memo pad which was also erased, is there any way I can get those files back?

Not unless you used Desktop Manager or Desktop Software to make a backup of your device on your computer. Then it's a simple matter of restoring your device from your latest backup. Sometimes carriers have a backup of subscribers' contacts, but it's a long shot. Also, not sure how the SIM comes into play (whether or not it would be helpful).

Sorry but you're SOL without a backup. I'd beat my friends @$$ if he wiped my phone.

^^^Exactly, unless you have a back-up, there would be no way to retrieve it again. I also vote "yes" on the beating up of the friend.
